At first there is a sound of ambiance in a street outside, following this quickly is the sound of a horses clop on a cobble road this connotes the time in which the drama is set in. Following that is a deep synthesised bass with a low end register and gives off the idea that something isn't quite right in this place. A bell chime in the background gives us the feeling that we're supposed to be alarmed. An eerie lack of noise is heard when people are talking as there are no cars to cover up dialogue. Crackling of fire makes the audience feel as if they're in a cold place, and also reinforces our belief of it being set in the olden days.
A crunchy bass sound acts like a sting to open up the soundtrack behind it, this is used to make us feel aware if we were not and acts as a opening to a new scene. The clangs of items and iron objects provides us with the knowledge that things were not as convenient in those times, there was not a lot of other materials we could use for our daily uses.
